WHAT WHAT WHAT OH MY GOD WHAT

I loved Drake and Josh, and have been keeping an eye on the the careers of both stars since it ended. A few days ago, when I heard that Drake would be appearing in The Fairly Oddparents movie, I was:

1. pleased to hear that he is actually going to be in a thing, since he's been kind of MIA since the show ended,
2. troubled that he's apparently still under that blood oath to Nickelodeon, and
3. confused, because he's obviously too old to play a kid and too young to play a parent, and the fairies are apparently going to be CGI. Maybe he's slated to play pop star Chip Skylark?

But no. According to Just Jared Jr., Drake will be playing 10-year-old Timmy Turner.

Whaaaaaaaat.

On the one hand, this is kind of terrible. The movie (about Timmy's refusal to grow up) looks terrible, the hook of the plot (hotting up the crazy nerd in order to make Timmy want to grow up) sounds terrible, and the effect this will have on Drake's career will probably be terrible.

But on the other hand...oh my God I am so going to see this movie, because that picture is hilarious.

Next up: Russell Crowe as Jimmy Neutron.

More on the Kids' Inaugural

It is probably worth noting that I didn't actually check the schedules or list of performers for any events at the inauguration. So when it comes to the Kids' Inaugural We Are the Future Ball, I only heard what made headlines -- the Jonii and discussion of Miley. So needless to say, I was extraordinarily pleased to learn from the lovely people over at LiveJournal's BleuManGroup that Corbin also performed.

Now, while I will doubtlessly spend the rest of the day giggling at the faux-military-police getup he and his back-up dancers wore*, mostly I will be smiling at the idea of Corbin serenading Michelle, Sasha, and Malia. Because I love him. You may have noticed.

* Also, really, exclusively male backup dancers for a dude? That's kind of new and different. If nothing else, at least they are not dressed as ridiculously as his female backup dancers were.

Post-Jonii Obama News

This just in from Countdown With Keith Olbermann: While President and Michelle Obama are off attending various balls and dancing, Sasha and Malia are home in the White House, entertaining other politicians' kids. They are, apparently, having a viewing of High School Musical 3.

Definitely vastly preferable to the MoFoJoBros.

BREAKING NEWS! Ryan Evans is Gay! Also the Sun is Hot and the Sky is Blue!

I got frantic voicemail from Jess this afternoon, demanding I call her immediately because there was big HSM news and we needed to discuss ASAP. Of course I dropped everything to call her back (I don't mess around when there's big HSM news!), leading to the following conversation:

Me: Stop squeaking, I can't understand you! What is going on?

Jess: Ryan! Is gay!

Me: I know!

Jess: You read the article?

Me: What article? I watched the movies.

Jess: In the stage version, Ryan is out! And so far Disney hasn't sued anyone!

Me: YAY!

So here is the article, and in all honesty, I'm too pleased to really snark on it properly. It's not exactly a secret that I think Ryan is totally gay, and this time I'm not even making things up.

Kudos to David Simpatico for making fact what we have all known in our hearts and also brains because, let us face it, it has never exactly been subtle.
